Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays!

Artist: Elsa Beskow

Uncertainty aside, at least for the next few days, have a wonderful holiday weekend with family and/or friends, and if you are traveling, stay safe. Let us celebrate the things in life worth celebrating and forget the rest - at least for the time being.

  3. Have a lovely holiday, Yvette. Saw what the North Carolina incumbents are trying to do before your new Democratic governor gets into office. And I thought Illinois was a mess. Well, like you said let's just sort of look the other way before the real nightmare begins after January 20.

    1. Thanks, John. I'm looking the other way as hard as I can. But at some point, we're going to have to face the music. I'm hoping the new governor of N.C. has some backbone.

  4. Yvette,

I agree. No politics for the next two weeks.

Let's celebrate the Present and let the Future take care of itself.

    1. I'll be doing my best, Fred. Today I was walking my dog and humming Christmas carols. He likes when I do that. I like it too. :)

  5. I agree Yvette - it is easy to dwell on so many negatives happening in the world today, but let's concentrate on the positives within our own communities and families for the moment. A Happy Christmas to you and yours.

  10. Happy Christmas and New Year!

I am trying to just read, hang out with friends and eat right now, and help on tasks for a New Year's Eve party.

I am an ostrich with my head in fictional crime, trying hard not to think about the real national crimes about to unfold.

Hope you and your family have fun holidays with the grandchildren.
