From our house to yours: MERRY CHRISTMAS and a very happy NEW YEAR. May the new year usher in peace, rationality and better times ahead for our beleaguered country.
Artwork by Swedish illustrator Elsa Beskow (1874 - 1953).
THANKS EVERYONE! I did have a wonderful holiday and I hope you all did too. We'll be having a cold spell here in N.C. for the next week or so and it really does feel like winter for a change. And we might even be getting some slushy snow. :) For us transplanted northerners it comes as a welcome respite. I mean, who wants to celebrate Christmas in sunny cheerful weather. :)
Merry Christmas, Yvette. I love the illustration to this post, the kitten on the table! When we had pets, there were often several cats sprawled on the table or a parakeet wandering among the dishes. Best wishes for a happy, healthy 2018!
