  3. Dear Yvette,

It's so interesting to see this image by Jesse Wilcox Smith juxtaposed so close to the photograph of your grandson. They bear a remarkable resemblance!

    Happy Mother's Day to you.

    1. Thanks, Mark. Now that you mention it, I see the resemblance. :) I spent the whole day out on the lake today with my family we had a wonderful time. We call my grandson 'the terminator'. Ha.

Those two adorable, alert, smart grandchildren of yours are enough to make any holiday a lot of fun -- and activity.

    1. My mom died six years ago, Joan, and it's the same with me. I miss her as if it were yesterday.

  7. I am late but hope you had a lovely Mother's Day.
I know how you feel about your mother, my own mother died far, far too young. She missed out on seeing most of her grandchildren arrive in the world, and I would have loved her to share more of my life, and know my children and grandchildren.

    1. I did, Rosemary, thanks. I hope yours was lovely as well. My mother missed out on seeing her great grandchildren and that's something that's hard for me to get over. Probably I never will.

    1. So happy that you both had a great day, Yvonne. We went out on the lake - it was a beautiful summer day in Spring. :) My granddaughter asked: Is it summer yet?
