Foreign Film Poster Friday

The German poster for Hitchcock's early version of THE MAN WHO KNEW TOO MUCH. (1934)

The idea for this post topic originated with Emily at her terrific movie blog, THE SILVER SCREEN AFFAIR. I thought it was such a great idea, I've appropriated it. Thanks, Emily.

  1. I have this on my Netflix queue--I need to actually watch it. Plus, I love Leslie Banks.

    Have a great weekend!!!

  2. Peter Lorre was such an icon. I wonder why the poster artist made him a shade of green?

  3. Patti: Very early Hitchcock, kind of dated now of course, but still interesting to watch.

  5. Pat: So it could match with my green sideboards. :)

  6. I like this dynamic design, and I also like the idea of a Poster Friday. With the advent of the Internet and movie trailers, today's posters are less iconic, and that's a shame.

  7. I do agree with you Mark. I love the graphic art of vintage posters. The bright colors. I'm a big fan of silk screen too and many of these posters use that technique.
