Wednesday: Quote of the Day

In most of our childhoods there have been those books beloved, not because they are marvelous children's books, but because they are marvelous books.

  1. Beverly Cleary all the way! That is the author which pops out at me, until I got hooked on Nancy Drew mysteries.

Read a piece in the NYT book review recently about Cleary's books, which are still read. She was amazing.

I feel like reading her books all over again. Maybe I can sneak into the library's children's section.

  2. Why not? She's 95 and still going strong. No one says you can't go back. :)
