Independent Literary Awards

Wallace, the very savvy book blogger at Unputdownables, a blog I'm always checking out for book ideas, links and good discussions, has a great new project: The formation of the Independent Literary Awards. "The goal being to recognize books bloggers have loved."

Any literary-blogger can propose a nominee within each specific category. See the link to Wallace's site for the rules and guidelines.

The Independent Literary Awards sounds like a brilliant idea to me. It's about time the ever-growing, ever-expanding, ever-more-powerful book blogging community had an award of its own.

Read Wallace's proposal and see for yourself. Then nominate your favorite book for the year in each category.
