  4. Carl Larsson was one of the very earliest painters that I became aware of when I was about 10 years old. I loved his work then and still love it today.

    1. Oh yes, I remember one of my first art book buys was a book of his paintings I found at the Metropolitan Museum of Art. Many MANY years ago.

  5. Beautiful all of them for different reasons. The Cassatt, Hughes, Joysmith, Larsson. And the poor mother with the carriage with 1,000 things in it -- so typical of what mothers have to push every day.

    1. I love that New Yorker cover. :) So true and so endearingly bizarre. I love the work of Carter Goodrich. Also love all the other paintings as well.

  6. The Xi Pan is beautiful. I think I got the artists mixed up near the end of the list.

  7. I love these pictures! I put the Sewell in my iPhotos. They are all so beautiful in different ways. Thank you for all the time you put into your blog. I haven't been here (or anywhere) as often as I've wanted to be, but when I have a chance, I so enjoy your posts.
