Read in the Washington Post that Google Art Project will enable us, any one of us, to virtually tour many world famous museums, including The Metropolitan Museum of Art in NYC, and get up close and personal with a masterpiece or two. The most interesting aspect of this news though, is that you can explore the museum as if you were there. I'm normally pretty grumpy when it comes to technology's overreach, but in this instance I'm loving the whole idea. Museums are for the people, after all. In this way, persons who can't always get into the city or travel to Europe can still 'do so' with the help of Google. Good show. I can't wait to try it.
