I thought: wow, what a great cast. Turns out everyone seems to have seen this movie but me. Late to the show - that's me. :) Lucille Ball was probably too intelligent too. Nobody likes a smart woman. At least, the studios didn't.Yvettehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08919246184376538331noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3185294584889963228.post-23669683773650604652015-07-09T14:52:52.992-04:002015-07-09T14:52:52.992-04:00I would have liked a sequel with Lucy and George, ...I would have liked a sequel with Lucy and George, Zucco that is, off on another mystery.

Caftan Womanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05936895555808823221noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3185294584889963228.post-73537554459092026022015-07-07T20:52:29.266-04:002015-07-07T20:52:29.266-04:00Yvette, I've always been a big Lucy fan, and p...Yvette, I've always been a big Lucy fan, and perhaps it is because I first knew her in I Love Lucy, but she never seemed to fit very well in the movies. I've read that Hollywood just didn't know what to do with her. Gorgeous, classy -- but more innate and obvious humor than the typical Hollywood female star. I did like this movie, though, and what a wonderful cast it had!ClassicBeckyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03591715859057540467noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3185294584889963228.post-53793834082584175232015-07-07T12:13:21.997-04:002015-07-07T12:13:21.997-04:00You know, John, I have a theory as to why Lucille ...You know, John, I have a theory as to why Lucille Ball never became a huge movie star (though of course she later became I LOVE LUCY) - it was all that intelligence in her eyes. The camera couldn't escape it. She was too smart for the movies. That's my theory, anyway.Yvettehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08919246184376538331noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3185294584889963228.post-12014211800518043112015-07-07T12:10:30.224-04:002015-07-07T12:10:30.224-04:00You're welcome, Lyn. It was so jarring I literally laughed out loud in the store. I remember enjoying it even if it seemed all too familiar and sometimes ridiculously hokey. She could do the wise cracking glamour girl really well. I liked her in a private eye movie she made with Clifton Webb and Mark Stevens called THE DARK CORNER. Still one of my all time favorite private eye movies.J F Norrishttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06473487417479127354noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3185294584889963228.post-89799339940533173192015-07-07T06:33:32.873-04:002015-07-07T06:33:32.873-04:00I was interested in seeing Lured after reading Geo...I was interested in seeing Lured after reading George Sanders' autobiography a few months ago.
