All those free books are calling to me.

I have some books on my computer but as I mentioned, I HATE reading off my computer screen.

I lately downloaded SCARAMOUCHE by Rafael Sabatini my my brother downloaded CAPTAIN BLOOD by Sabatini - BOTH FREE!!! I highly recommend Captain Blood if you're in the mood for a good swashbuckling yarn. In addition to newer books only coming out in digital format, there are some publishers who have created digital "imprints" and are releasing older out of print books only in digital format. Apparently, it's more efficient. They can be done faster and cheaper and lots more can be sold that way. It all has to do with money now. No printing costs, no real shipping costs, and lower marketing expenses. I'm not really interested in starting an eBook collection; it's so artificial to me. I doubt I'll ever buy an eReader, but I have changed my opinion of eBooks. Much to my surprise I'm starting to publicize eBooks on my blog when I know that a particular title is available digitally.J F Norrishttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06473487417479127354noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3185294584889963228.post-52468939448469710272013-02-09T21:05:49.065-05:002013-02-09T21:05:49.065-05:00This seems like a very good book. I guess I need to be able to hold the book and turn the pages, and I don't mean with a phone or iPad device, which is still on a screen. I know a lot of people who love their Kindles, etc. but I'll take a paperback or hardcover, ink-on-paper book any day.Rick Robinsonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07978136287154214297noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3185294584889963228.post-38638855064326846202013-02-08T13:42:51.437-05:002013-02-08T13:42:51.437-05:00Thanks, Prashant.
