I love looking through it every now and then just on my own. The illustrations are just so fine.

My daughter had this when she was little and I saved the book and now it sits on my granddaughter's shelf. OK, ...Yvette, you had me at MAKE WAY FOR DUCKLINGS! OK, so I haven't actually had an opportunity to read the other worthy books you mentioned, but seriously, I remember when I was small and my mom used to read me MAKE WAY FOR DUCKLINGS. It was a joy for both of us, and Mom was especially proud when I was able to read it out loud myself!DorianTBhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01357778472575080022noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3185294584889963228.post-8016907256840296042011-07-12T10:36:12.558-04:002011-07-12T10:36:12.558-04:00Both KAVALIER AND CLAY and EMPIRE FALLS are brilli...Both KAVALIER AND CLAY and EMPIRE FALLS are brilliant books, Kathy. I read it before the prize, too. In fact, I didn't even know it won!

This is just further proof that I need to read Michael Chabon. Long bee aware of him, but haven't actually read him yet.

I've heard of the two mysteries through my mom and/or grandmother. They are where I've learned about most of the mysteries that I read. Not so many of those these days, though.

And the last book is a particular favorite! I agree. The author was one of a kind.

Look forward to reading that review :)Cassandrahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00362919925024094294noreply@blogger.com
