But I've read THE CITY AND THE CITY which is superb. And KRAKEN which is almost as good, but way more confusing. Once you do, we can all talk it over and figure it out together - sounds like a plan. :)

This author is one of my discoveries of last year and boy am I glad I have an open mind when it comes to reading outside my comfort zone. He is just plain mesmerizing, if not always strictly understandable. Did you read THE CITY AND THE CITY, yet? You must.Yvettehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08919246184376538331noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3185294584889963228.post-69839806851540725572011-02-21T22:38:49.095-05:002011-02-21T22:38:49.095-05:00I've read many reviews of this one and yours i...I've read many reviews of this one and yours is the first one that made me want to read it. The book has sounded vaguely interesting in other reviews, but yours is the first that made me feel like I have to know what happens. Thanks for the review and the heads up on a book that I know now I need to read.Ryanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17786139533776263328noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3185294584889963228.post-71759160606122098622011-02-21T15:45:17.098-05:002011-02-21T15:45:17.098-05:00Healigan: How I wish there was a book club somewhe...Healigan: How I wish there was a book club somewhere where we could dish KRAKEN to our hearts content. I would love to make some more sense of this dynamic book. So much to love there, but in the end, I can't figure what actually happened to Billy. Don't want to post any SPOILERS here or I would say more.

What's a capcha?Yvettehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08919246184376538331noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3185294584889963228.post-53489632518789147212011-02-21T15:21:43.560-05:002011-02-21T15:21:43.560-05:00oh, and the capcha for my comment was "ectiot...oh, and the capcha for my comment was "ectiot." That makes it flawed in my opinion--yeah, the Goss and Subby wordplay was only one example. I wondered too--Was it a Brit thing? I am a good reader, I should not have felt so overwhelmed by the end. Having said all that, I still want to read it over.
http://www.goodreads.com/book/show/6931246-krakenHealiganhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11198319344895178005noreply@blogger.com
