As I look at these paintings, the to...Dear Yvette,<br /><br />As I look at these paintings, the tought occurs to me that the act of reading is a natural for portraiture. One is engaged in an activity yet remains still. My favorite of these is the one by Jean-Louis Ernest Meissonier.
