However, if I were to pin them down as leads, then perhaps the very first one reminds me of Clark Gable, so the name "Clark" is fitting, the fourth one could well pass off as William Powell, the one just below him as Paul Newman, and the last one reminds me of an older version of Buster Keaton. I'm looking at the life span of Pierre Imans, and it occurs to me that he created these fantastic personalities quite late in his life. He must have been quite a progressive fellow. Such an amazing collection of mannequins and your descriptions are totally spot on. You have made the old films of your and our childhoods come alive once more.

We should only like to venture an alternative suggestion for number 3, your Eddie or Ray. He definitely looks a dodgy character, as you say, but we think that he has a 'foreign' look about him. Those too sharp eyebrows and thin lips......perhaps he is Eastern European.......Viktor or Zoltán.......dealing in contraband cigarettes and being responsible for the disappearance of important people on night trains rattling across Europe.

You really have ignited a spark in our heads with this post, Yvette, and we shall spend happy hours today finding out more about Pierre and his mannequins!Jane and Lance Hattatthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16831890261259302647noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3185294584889963228.post-21367198719307152912014-05-09T00:02:36.417-04:002014-05-09T00:02:36.417-04:00The District Attorney is a dead ringer for a young...The District Attorney is a dead ringer for a young George Sanders. Amazing likeness. I see other resemblances too. Herbert Marshall looks the last guy. #5, the "ambitiously crusading small town doctor", is uncannily like Jean Dujardin, even to that cleft in the chin. #3 is wearing a monocle! Looks like Conrad Veidt...if Conrad Veidt had a crazy Jay Leno-like jaw.

Your descriptions are pretty damn good and full of your quirky sense of humor. Love the character names each type is usually known by. There are too few characters named Oscar, Palmer, Gilbert, Barton, Clark, Benton, Lyle and all the rest. Miss those guys terribly.J F Norrishttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06473487417479127354noreply@blogger.com
