P.G. Wodehouse recreated the old English village setting very well. I have not read Elizabeth Cadell and 52 novels are far too many to overlook. Elizabeth Cadell is a ...Glad you enjoyed it Yvette. Elizabeth Cadell is a good story teller, but like a lot of prolific authors, her work can be patchy. In common with many pre-war authors, she can have difficulty adapting to the post-1960s world of the Beatles and the pill.
